The study deals with the relationship between the delegation of authority and the effectiveness of decisionmakingin the police stations in Dubai, the economic and administrative capital of the United Arab Emirates, whereDubai is one of the most prestigious and most important cities in the world, Dubai is a financial district and an importantcommercial hub.Given the importance of Dubai, the researcher aims to study the relationship between the delegation ofauthority and the effectiveness of decision-making at the Dubai Police Stations, in order to maintain the stability of theregion, which became a global financial center.The study used the analytical descriptive method, where the subjects of delegation of authority, decision-makingeffectiveness, and the basis of the relevant scientific theories were discussed.The study also followed the quantitative approach by designing the questionnaire and asking questions toexplore managers' opinions, to accurate results.The study found a strong correlation between delegation of authority and decision making in the Dubai PoliceDepartment. The study also found the economic and financial importance of the city of Dubai in international businessand commerce, which necessitated attention to the issues of delegation of authority and decision-making, and increase theimportance of Dubai Police.The study recommended that:· To take care of police research projects for security personnel as a basic function of the police departmentthrough the development of a comprehensive strategic plan at the level of police departments in Dubai and theMinistry of the Interior.· Linking police research projects with community issues and working on the results of this research in the fieldsof social life.

Plume Flow Field Analysis For Lander Propulsion System Of Chandrayaan 2 Mission

The upcoming Chandrayaan-2 mission of ISRO is planned to deploy a lunar lander and rover on a specified lunar site. The mission objective is to ensure a safe and soft landing of lander module on the lunar surface. The lander-craft will be released from lunar orbit, which will further undergo various lunar bound phases like de-boosting, rough braking, precision braking, and vertical descent. Chandrayaan-2 lander will employ a clustered configuration of 800N engine along with 50N attitude control thrusters placed at the bottom of spacecraft, to decelerate the spacecraft for braking and soft landing on lunar surface. The engines will be operated together in different phases to reduce spacecraft's velocity to move from 100km North Pole to 6km South Pole lunar altitude location. The thermal environment near the thruster varies substantially when all thrusters will be operated simultaneously to decelerate the lander during de-boost and initial braking phase. The thermal protection system for lander will be designed to maintain the temperature of lander-craft systems within the safe limits during this phase. The simultaneous firing of all four engines can result in possible interaction of thruster plumes and flow reversal, which will eventually lead to higher thermal loads on spacecraft structures. Plume may also impinge on the lander legs resulting in higher convective heat load on leg surfaces. In order to study multiple engine plume effects and to determine thermal load on lander craft structures, a detailed numerical study is carried out for lander propulsion system in near vacuum condition. Navier Stokes Solver coupled with radiative transport equation (RTE) is used to study multiple engine plume interactions, reverse flow characteristics, plume impingement and for estimation of convective and radiative thermal load on lander structures. The study highlights the plume flow field for the clustered engine configuration of Chandrayaan-2 lunar lander and provides input to design thermal protection system for lander to sustain harsh thermal environments due to multiple engine firing.

In nanoelectronic devices,the GaNFinFETs are also widely used than Si-FinFETs. In this paper, the effects of variations of electrical parameterssuch as energy band diagram, electrical field, subthreshold swing (SS), transconductance, I-V characteristics andleakage current for both GaNFinFET and Si-FinFET by using the 8nm channel length have been compared andcarefully observed that 8nm channel length of GaNFinFET has shown better electrical performances than 8nm channellength of Si-FinFET. Then the impacts of variations of channel length on leakage current, transconductance and I-Vcharacteristics have been shown successfully. The leakage currents by using 8nm and 10nm channel length of bothGaNFinFET and Si-FinFET have been measured and found more reduced leakage current of 8nm channel length ofGaNFinFET. Finally, transconductance and I-V characteristic of 8nm and 10nm channel length of GaN have been alsoanalyzed and observed better transconductance and drain current performances for 8nm channel length ofGaNFinFET. For better performance, online based multigate FET (MuGFET) resource of nanoHUB.org simulatorsoftware has been used. All accurate related values of electrical parameters have been collected by using online basedsimulator tool nanoHUB.org. For precise analyses, a statistical method and Fermi level equation of nanoHUB.orgsimulator have been used. Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) is the new paradigm to access the unused spectrum at a given time.When designated user arrived on its licensed spectrum, a user will be hopped to the new vacant spectrum band in thewhite space. A Markov Chain (MC)is a stochastic model describing a sequence of possible events in which theprobability of each event depends only on the state attained in the previous event.In this paper, we considered the dynamic spectrum access as a Markov Chain. We correlated DSA and MC andanalyzed MCs. We create two MCs using a matrix of observed transition count and convert it with transition probabilitymatrix. Then we plotted the Eigen values of transition matrices on the complex plane. Also, we find the stationarydistribution of MCs. This analysis helps us to determine the channel’s behavior and help us to prioritize the channels forthe better quality of access.

Nowadays, wireless space communication demands high data rate for communication. The improvement in thebandwidth gives high data rate. THz spectrum is the frequency range of 300GHz to 30THz, in this spectrum the problemsof spectrum scarcity and limited bandwidth can be solved. As the Terahertz waves are atmosphere free, hence are goodfor space communication. With this high gain terahertz antenna it is possible to reduce free space path loss. Thisproposed work presents a novel, stacked 24-elements array of antenna at 515GHz for Terahertz application band. Theantenna is designed on a thin substrate having lower substrate height is 0.2mm with slotted rectangular antenna havingconical vias from this layer to ground. While the stacked antenna having substrate height of 0.2mm above the lowerlayer; with dielectric constant of Ɛr = 3.8. This Terahertz antenna design provides a 11.5 dBi gain and 12.6 dBidirectivity . The proposed antenna consists of 24 elements, where these are connected 4 X 6 excites with coplanarwaveguide (CPW) feed. This feeding technique gives a good impedance matching at inputs of the radiating elements. Theantenna presents a wide bandwidth of 34 GHz and satisfies all performance parameters. It has return loss of -22.5 dB atthe resonance frequency of 515GHz (S11efficiency of 100%. The antenna is designed, analyzed and optimized on IE3D Zeland software version 15.30

We have established a test fixture and procedure to extract dielectric complex permittivity for biotechnologymaterials, especially those used in medical (human tissue and liquid 900MHz), environmental domains (i. e., raffia palmtrees, spring water) and food (semolina and polenta) in microwave domains. Two circular coaxial transmission-lineshave been designed, manufactured and presented in this paper to reach main goals. The technique is based on the use ofthe transmission-line propagation constant. This technique is broadband, easy to implement and no need to use theform-factor during the computational procedure. The test-designed fixture has made to ease its filling with sample tocharacterize. The use of the wave cascade matrix to solve discontinuity effects is applied through two differenttransmission line lengths with identical geometries. That’s the way we solved discontinuities and pointed outmathematical formula limits. This apparatus offers the equipotentiality of the electric field and can be used to measureliquid, mud, gunpowder and granulate materials, but it needs buffering wafer samples. All samples used in thisapparatus are supposed non-magnetic, and our study has been approved only when the Quasi TEM-mode is propagated.

Analysis Of Defects In Solid Rocket Motors Using X Ray Radiography

NDE plays a significant role in the evaluation of solid propellants motors. X-ray radiography is one of the most important of all the nondestructive test methods used in this area. To meet the growing and challenging demands of launch vehicle applications, research and development in the field of radiography is improving with modern imaging techniques and new sources of radiation. Defects such as voids, porosity, cracks and debonds are detrimental to the performance of a solid rocket motor. While defects such as cracks and debonds are caused mainly by poor design of the rocket motor, voids and porosity are caused by inappropriate selection of process parameters and conditions. This paper analyzes the radiographic images of defects observed in various solid propellant rocket motors. Defects such as ‘void with a crack’ were observed in free-standing propellant grains of special purpose motors processed with pvc-plastisol based composite propellant. The shape and orientation could be traced to the high temperature physical curing process, casting technique, viscosity of slurry during casting and the casting set-up configuration. ‘Cluster of voids’ or porosity observed in some of the rocket motors due to the presence of moisture in the propellant slurry or entrapment of air in the insulation free flap.This paper deals with the overview of propellant radiography and analyzes the radiographic images of defects observed in various solid propellant rocket motors processed at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum.

Through this article, we try to give a definition of the concept of precariousness by adopting a historical approach. Indeed, at the beginning the term "precariousness" was adopted in a way that confused poverty or exclusion without distinguishing the meaning of each of these terms. Then, this concept "precariousness" covered two social realities. The first is related to poverty and vulnerability and the second is associated with the different statuses of jobs. In the end, this notion has been developed by producing another a broader concept that is the precariat. This last word comes from the contraction of "precariousness" and "proletariat" to designate a new social class undermined by economic insecurity and the daily anxiety of precariousness.

Effect of microbial fertilizers and dosage of NPK on growth and yield of Upland Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Microbial fertilizers are inoculants made from beneficial microbes to improve soil nutrient availability and increase plant growth.The purpose of this research was to studythe effect of inoculants as microbial fertilizers (phosphate solubilizing microbes and Nitrogen-fixing bacteria) and NPK fertilizers on growth and yield of upland rice on Andisols. This experiment used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) in factorial pattern, consisting of two factors with three replications. The first factor consisted of inoculants, which were; without; inoculants A (Pseudomonas mallei, P. cepaceae, Aspergillusniger and Penicillium sp., Azotobacter sp., Azospirillum sp.); inoculantsB (Azotobacterchoroococum, A. viilandii, Azospirillum, Pseudomonas cepaceae, Penicillium and Acitenobacter) and inoculants A+B. The second factor were NPK fertilizers with four levels (100%, 75%, 50% and 25% dosage of recommendation). The results showed that microbial fertilizers improve growth and yield of upland rice.
